Wedding songs?
I trying to find songs to use during the ceremony and the reception. I would like to find more non traditional songs. One song I have picked out is Thank You by Led Zeppelin. Another possible option is The Luckiest by Ben Folds. I need to find 3 or 4 songs. If you have any suggestions I’d really appreciate it. If you have sweet songs that are more on the alternative/indie side that would be great.
although not indie….my taste is pretty eclectic……..some of my favourite songs are:
**This Old Love- Lior…an Aussie artist, fantastic!
**Push- Sarah McLachlan, she said at her concert that she wrote this for her husband. with lyrics like “your the one true thing i know i can believe in, your all the thngs that i desire you save me you complete me……your the one true thing i know i can believe”….. “your love is just the antidote when nothing else can cure me, there are times i cant decide, when i cant tell up from down, you make me feel less crazy when otherwise id drown” great love song……… a song about real love
**You Blow Me Away- Robert Palmer, great lyrics and tune.
**Just In Time or Your Nobody Till Somebody Loves You- Dean Martin, for something upbeat & happy with a bit of swing, maybe for the end of the ceremony as you walk out. they may be ‘oldies’ but they arent traditional wedding songs. I can remember what song it was but my friend used an old upbeat song at the end of her church wedding- and it was great..put a smile on everyones face!
**To Make you Feel My Love- as usual great peotic lyrics written by Bob Dylan, but sung by trisha yearwood on the Hope Floats soundtrack. i sang this at my best friends wedding
just a few………..good luck!
P.S- ignore the answer below…….who cares if you’ve asked the same question more than once……if your still looking for songs, keep asking i say : )
