size18 & hourglass shape but hates A-line. Is sheath ok?

Since i’m considered a “full figured” woman. It is recommended on many sites and magazines that I wear an A-line wedding dress. I know I look good and wear things accentuating my hips and waist often(tastefully so) Is it such a Fashion foux-pas for a fit plus size woman to wear a sheath/ mermaid shaped dress? Just because plus doesn’t mean that i should hide my shape…I don’t know just thought i’d like to hear if other people think it can be pulled off.

Absolutely you can wear a sheath or mermaid style wedding gown. Size has very little to do with which silhouettes look best on your body, whereas figure type has everything to do with it. If you are blessed with an hourglass figure, those styles look great – especially when tailored to fit your body to perfection!
