Would a mantilla veil go well with this dress or something else?

Okay, so I’m still helping my cousin Liz plan her wedding. She’s picked out this dress:

The trouble is, neither of us is sure what kind of veil or hairstyle she should go with. She would like to wear her hair down and curled but is open to suggestions for other styles. Any ideas on veils and hairstyles that would suit this dress? She’s looking to really WOW her husband-to-be.

I don’t know if this helps or not, but her colors are gold and french blue (kind of in between light blue and normal blue), and her “theme”, so to speak, is vintage romance.

It’s a beautiful dress. When I first saw it, it screamed mantilla to me. Your hunch is spot on; a mantilla veil with light vintage inspired lace detailing on the ends would go stunningly with the dress.

The loose hair curled would go very well, it’d balance out the beautiful dress and veil well in my opinion. Otherwise, a side parted vintage curled look would go well; or a loose bun with a few pearl pins tucked into her hair, that would go right along with vintage romance.
